This past weekend saw another flurry of recruiting activity, as the Tar Heels hosted a number of players for the basketball game against Gonzaga. On hand were several recruits from the 2019 class, as well as several elite in-state players for the upcoming 2020 recruiting class. By Monday morning, two new players had elected to give verbal commitments to the Heels – 2019 cornerback Obi Egbuna and 2019 defensive lineman Kevin Hester. Additionally, prized 2019 QB recruit Sam Howell took a very last-minute official visit to Chapel Hill on Sunday, which is a very good sign for Carolina fans.
